Ashish

no offence, but your slow internet connection is not a reason to say that GoDaddy is the worst registrar. You should rather consider getting a better, faster connection.

I have always used Paypal and they've never asked me for any additional credit card information. Check if your paypal account is certified or create a Payment Agreement with Godaddy.com

Both issues seem to be at your end, to be honest.

yes, as Patrick says i got a email from one of the guys at enom who very kindly helped me sort everything out for me.

I must admit my hassles where all because my account was through a reseller, as i said in my original post a good friend of mine swears by enom.

So its a big thumbs up for enom

I must say I'm sorry to see the figures have changed to godaddy now looking bad, i cant believe they are rating worse than 1and1, 1and1 are bar far the worst and could learn a lot from enom.

I must admit that the new godaddy site as been a nightmare, things seem to be settling down now but at one point i couldn't get in to renew domains or accept transfers, it was a nightmare.

If you ask me godaddy is the worst registrar ever. I have my own reasons. t takes a long time for me to load their pages because I have a slow internet connection. Then the other problem which I have is that when I now try to make payments through paypal, they want me to add another new credit card information which i am not willing to do. Previously when I made payments via paypal they never asked me this information and now they do. So godaddy just is not the one for me.

Well, I got to say. My first reaction to this poll was almost immediately to vote for 1and1 as the worst registrar. As I was about to vote, I decided to write an article on my own blog, because I realized I hadn't written an article that day. As I was writing, a little karma happened, and my vote changed, and so did my article (you can read this karma article on <a href="http://www.dnunderground.com/karma-with-godaddy-article-wondering-why-it-was-so-bad/" title="DNUnderground.com").

My vote ended up changing to GoDaddy as the worst registrar. I was treated like crap when I called customer support, which definitely surprised me considering my past phone calls and how nice they have been. The woman who helped me wouldn't help me, and was lazy. And I know every registrar is going to have these kind of worker's working for them, who don't like their job and treat customer's like myself like crap. But this woman, and the way she didn't take me seriously at all made me hate GoDaddy.

Also, I got to say, I have hated this new GoDaddy redesigned site they have put up about 2-4 months ago, and is still up. It's ugly, and harder to navigate.

So anyways, my vote went to GoDaddy as the worst registrar. I don't know what I will do about my domains there, and whether I will continue to use them as much as I do, but this one call really just ticked me off.

I would say 1an1.com as worst registrar. i registered about 50 domains there thinking it is cheap. but i knew later they are the worst. They do not have any service for account change. They delete the domain and re-register from other account. This is the worst registrar ever seen.

NO account transfer. I am stuck with them with my domains.

1&1 is the worst registrar. The reason is that they have a heavy interface and it loads slow. I've three domains over there and I'll transfer soon.

Haha good try.
Godaddy has a lot of domains because it was one of the first registrars. What is more at first in probably was the best option..

Simple fact of the matter is I would say quite confidently that the owners of at least 50% of the domains there dislike them...

1and1 is a nightmare, especially if you have a large portfolio. Issues that I personally had:
1. No tools to unlock domains with a click; need to get transfer code and unlock your domains one by one,
2. If you want to cancel a domain or turn off automatic renewal, they want you to fax a document (they don't require a fax if when you register),
3. They keep charging to your credit card unless you go through the fax process. Sending email to customer service, giving a call, asking for a manager to talk doesn't work. They renewed my domains, and billed later even though my credit card on file has expired. I could not find a friendly customer service agent to have it reversed. I did not pay, and they sent me to a collection agency. I eventually gave up! Such a waste of time.
4. Their grouping of domains sucks. You can manage each group separately, no way to combine them. Very tedious, unfriendly user interface.

People keep complaining about godaddy, but they have good, friendly customer service representatives and a certain standard. 1and1 doesn't understand what customer service means. At least in the US. Now, I share my experience with all the domainers/friends I know. Just think about the damage for collecting $100+ from an unhappy customer.

By far the best service/pricing I received is from Fabulous. As my domain names are close expiration I move them to Fabulous.
