I am from Manila and I work for an IT outsourcing firm. We are here 8 hours (or more) available to support our foreign clients. Most likely they won’t even realize some colleagues, whose homes have been flooded, are not around. They wouldn’t even know that just a few kilometers away from us are submerged villages/facilities, people waiting to be rescued, volunteers helping out in evacuation centers, and poor souls hoping for their cold carcasses to be recovered. We make the “business as usual” motto happen.

I’m glad that there are still people out there who can see beyond such “pitfalls of outsourcing” as brought by this calamity. A spark of hope and inspiration, your short message brings to us here. Thank you.

Yes we are on our own! Any help much appreciated. Lots of people still trapped in their homes due to the flood without food or clean water.

What so bad is when there is a flood in USA,(atlanta), the FEMA will come in with $$$$ to rebuild but in those countries, you are on your own.
