Twitter Application Coming Monday

Posted on 31 January 2009

This brand new Twitter application has some huge money making potential. The form below is what the application produces. I was lucky enough to get in on the beta testing. Basically your readers or site visitors will fill in their Twitter user name and password, which is not stored and only used once. The application then goes to Twitter and submits the pre-populated message to their followers.

Here is just an example of how to turn this into a money making machine.

Hold a $50 gift card giveaway, have your site visitors complete the Twitter application form and that’s it for them. Once completed that message will be sent out to all of their followers. The message could say something like “sign up for xyz product for only 19.95 a month, visit chefpatrick.com/xyz”. The example I give is an obvious sales pitch, you can word it however you want making it sound less like a sales blast. With this simple tool instead of just my visitors and Twitter followers getting the message it is spread out to thousands and thousands of Twitter users.

Do the math with me, if I have 100 visitors complete this form assuming they have 500 Twitter followers each, then this message will be sent to 50,000 Twitter users.

For my domainers out there, replace the product example with a domain name for sale.

Test it out for yourself, complete the form below and send out the message. Make sure to come back on Monday 12pm est to get this application. I’m not allowed to say how much it is but, I can say it will be very reasonably priced.

Insignia HD Camcorder

Posted on 16 January 2009

While searching for the perfect video blogging camcorder I came across the Insignia® – 5.0MP High-Definition Digital Camcorder with 3″ Swivel LCD Screen. The two features I liked about this product was the swivel LCD screen (I like to see myself while recording) and the $99 price tag.

Here is a picture of the pre-opened merchandise.

Let me tell you, it was a pain in the buttox (as my daughter would say) to open this thing. Once I was finally able to get it open I was ready pretty much out of the box, all I had to do was add the memory card, battery and start recording. So far so good, not so fast, it went downhill from there. I did take a few videos and was able to upload them very easily to my computers hard drive and YouTube. The two biggest draw backs though are the Continue reading…

Free Copy Of Domaining Manifesto

Posted on 09 December 2008

Six weeks ago I wrote an article about John Motson’s domaining ebook.  To make a long story short I purchased John’s ebook roughly six months ago for $47.  I found it to be a very useful guide to get a basic understanding about the domain name industry.  An important plus for me were all of the links to tools and resources for the domain world.

Guess what, I’m jealous, I paid $47 for my copy but you can get yours for FREE.

Don’t Be Scammed

Posted on 04 December 2008

Is anyone looking out for the domainers? After reading the following blog the clear answer is yes. Reece Berg who is already known for his blog LLLL.com has done it again with DomainNameScams.com. Get this, the blog has only been online for 10 days and has 16 must read articles. Seriously, DomainNameScams.com was launched November 24th and has 16 useful articles. I am personally taken back by this because I know first hand how hard it is to continually put out quality articles. Most domainer blogs could only hope to put out that many articles in a one or two months time frame.

One of the articles Reece wrote was about security and how thieves are hacking into peoples PayPal accounts to steal their money. Instead of just stating the obvious he pointed out a simple and effective tip, get a security key ($5). The key creates random security codes to use along with your regular user name and password. I don’t know about you but I ordered mine right after reading the article, thank you Reece.

Go check out DomainNameScams.com, I would even say check it out every day because of the rate Reece is putting out articles.

The Ultimate Guide To Successful Domaining

Posted on 27 October 2008

For those of you that do not know me I became a full time domainer about four months ago.  At the age of only 31 I am retired from four years of running successful real estate investment companies.  Not today, but soon I will share more details about my previous business and how it compares to domaining.

For now, I want to discuss one of my first purchases helping to prepare me for what was to come with domaining.  I googled the term domain ebook and came across several options.  I reviewed the sales site for each and the cost, of course looking for the best deal.  After reviewing everything I decided to purchase the Domaining Manifesto by John Motson.  At the time I had no clue who John was nor his experience in the domaining industry.  The information provided on his sales site seemed to be a fit for what I was looking for.

Let me fast forward to last week. I was visiting the industry blogs to see what everyone else was putting out.  I visited DNXpert as I do periodically and read something that showed an ebook.  I read a little more and it showed the Domaining Manifesto by John Motson.  After seeing this I emailed the owner of DNXpert and found that he is John Motson.  Long story short we have emailed each other several times since.  He has even featured an article of mine on his blog.

For me, the most useful thing about the ebook was the many different explanations about everything domain related.  Trying to learn a new businesses jargon is a project on its own, like learning a new language.  It has given me the inside scoop on what goes on in the domain industry.  I learned a lot about expired domains, tasting, registering, values, short domains, trademarks and many of other things.  In fact if I remember correctly this is how I found a few of the domainer forums.  Yes it is, looking at the ebook now and it shows how to buy and sell domain names on the forums.  It also has tips about trader ratings and how to keep the transaction as safe as possible.

That brings me to today. I wanted to share with everyone what I first read when starting in this business.  There is just too much information for me to list about this 86 page ebook.  It really has everything from A to Z about domaining.  It includes dozens and dozens of links to useful tools.  I strongly suggest you click here to view more details.  For ONLY $27 and it has a money back guarantee I could not have asked for more.  My opinion, BUY IT.  Since purchasing this particular ebook I have not had to buy any others.
