Posted on 07 August 2009

*UPDATE – GamingDomains has been removed from this blog for non responsiveness to customer inquiries and my attempts to resolve this issue.

For The First Time in Ten Years GamingDomains.com is Offering Some of Their Premium Gambling Domain Names for Sale

gaming domain names character(Las Vegas, NV) August 7, 2009 – In general, the domain name industry has been feeling a surge in business over the last decade or so.  Those who are looking to invest in a premium domain name having to do with gambling, poker, casinos, Vegas, and sports should check out GamingDomains.com first.  They are offering top notch gambling domain names that have been held for ten or more years.

By describing their names as premium, they simply mean they are domain names that stand out, are brandable, describes a product to the tee or are keyword/type-in domains.  Because of these characteristics, premium domain names generate a higher amount of traffic than other names.

“Many of the domains we have for sale were secured well before the domain industry boom and have been hosted, developed and fine tuned for over a decade,” said James Andrews, the Managing Director.  He added, “The market has increased with the rise of organizations willing to put together quality sites designed to attract return visitors.  This helps to generate potentially large revenue streams.  The names we are selling are keyword rich and brandable, giving buyers a chance to create a substantial income.”

GamingDomains.com owns many premium domains such as FreePoker.com, PokerHands.com, PokerTV.com, CasinoRoyal.com and thousands more.  Recently they have sold the names GamblingReview.com, PokerBonuses.com, and WinPoker.com. They offer bundle packages at a substantial discount if you plan on purchasing multiple names.

Already have a premium gaming domain you need to sell?  Currently GamingDomains.com is willing to list other domainer’s premium domain names.

LiveDomainAuctioneers.com First Auction 8/16

Posted on 30 July 2009

auction-bid-2-lg-gt_full_width_landscapeLDA, also known as Live Domain Auctioneers, is a new auction site selling domain names via live online auctions.  Even though they are new to auctioning in the domain industry, they are far from new to the auction business.  The founding partners, Troy Hill and Tory Miran, have over 20 years of experience and education between them as auctioneers.

As mentioned, they sell their names during live online auctions.  If you’re interested in a name, but won’t be available for the auction at its scheduled time, then you can submit a proxy bid.  With the proxy bid you are just giving what the highest price you’re willing to pay is and the system will automatically bid for you up to the maximum you indicated.

They use a “no reserve” strategy in their auctions so there are no reserve prices to contend with.  They believe that letting the name sell to the highest bidder, no matter what the price and without a reserve, is using the auctioneering process in its purest and truest form, which is simply people out bidding each other.

Their upcoming auction is their first domain auction ever and is scheduled for 8/16/09 at 3:00pm Pacific standard time.  The names will be sold by a professional auctioneer whom you’ll be able to listen to as the selling unfolds through their streaming live audio.  Those auctioneers talk super fast, but are pretty cool to listen to.  I’ve seen a few auctions myself and they are always amazing to watch and hear.

On their homepage you’ll find a list of “Highlighted Domains” for this particular auction.  Some of the names listed are ContractNurses.com, TextSpy.com, Jerud.com, AntiScams.com, MarketHomes.com and many more.  You can also see a complete catalog of all the domains that will be for sale in that auction and for the following auction after that.  They’ll be holding auctions roughly twice a month and there will be 75 to 125 domains for sale per auction.  Their site is completely user friendly, so head over to LiveDomainAuctioneers.com and can check out the domains they have for sale for yourself and see what peaks your interest.

MiniSites.com

Posted on 21 July 2009

I want to apologize for not getting this up sooner for you all to see.  MiniSites.com is our newest advertiser and I wanted to make sure I give you guys as much information about them as possible.  First, let me just say I love their domain name, MiniSites.com for obvious reasons, I would think.  They absolutely get the importance of a good domain name to help brand your business with.  This is undoubtedly the best name for a mini site business.

In case you haven’t guessed already, MiniSites.com is a mini site development company.  Since these guys are domainers and website developers, they have a solid grasp of what we need in order to make our domain names profitable as mini sites.  Be sure to go to their site and check out their Examples tab to see some of their work.

MiniSites.com offers 3 different packages for different prices that you can choose from based on what you want to accomplish.  For example, their “Micro” package is a one page site while their other two packages offer four additional pages of content.  The higher end package, “Big Mini” offers advanced link building and advanced monetization in addition to all the other features you already get with the other packages.  If you’re developing many domains, there are bulk rates available for you to take advantage of that offer you a savings compared to if you were to just develop one domain name at a time. Prices start at $105 and go up from there depending upon what you want to have done.

WebFusion.com Giving Away 3,000 dot info Domain Names

Posted on 18 June 2009

web fusion hostingWho doesn’t love to get something for nothing?

Webfusion.com is running a special this month where you can register a .info domain for only $0.88 until the end of June. That in itself is a great deal. What could be better than paying $0.88?

FREE!!!

Webfusion.com will be having their own giveaway and if you are in the market for a .info domain, it might benefit you to check them out. Over the weekend they will be doing something even crazier than selling $0.88 .info domains. Beginning on Friday, June 19 at 10 am EST, Webfusion.com will give away 3,000 .info domain registrations. They are giving away one per customer.

What do you have to do to get yours? Register with all your details, as you normally would, and Webfusion.com will automatically refund the registration fee to your card. If you want to get more than one, you’ll have to pay the $0.88 charge for each additional .info domain. Again, not a bad deal at all. Please understand that this is the registration fee for the first year and then it goes up at renewal time to whatever the normal pricing is.

.Info has been a fast-growing, widely adopted domain extension since its launch in 2001. In fact, .info is the 4th most popular general top level domain today with over 4.8 million active registrations. This year, interest has grown even more – registrations and sales of .info domains are near all-time highs.

Personally, I like .info domains particularly if you can get a keyword one. I think they have great uses, especially for development of mini sites and informational sites to create a passive income of some sort. This is worth checking out!

Be sure to follow WebFusion on Twitter for any updates and specials.

  • AMAZING job
  • Very dedicated
  • Gone above and beyond
  • Definitely recommend her
  • Pleased to be able to work with Tia
  • Bright, diligent, and creative web developer
  • Great results, good value and creative

These are just some of the things Tia’s clients have said about her.

So who is Tia Wood?
Tia is a self taught developer, married with an eight year old daughter who works from her home office in Missouri. Since Tia started in 2000 she has developed hundreds of websites capable of handling development, graphic design, SEO, eCommerce, database and much more.

What I really like about Tia is that she is a domainer as well as a developer. Being a domainer she understands exactly what we “domainers” are looking for. Don’t stereotype Tia as a domainer though, she has worked with numerous companies for web development. Her philosophy about “Relationships” is what helps her be successful. She believes a good domain developer should learn the goals, products, services and subjects of the client in order to successfully launch any website.

Because of Tia’s relationship philosophy she has developed her own brand around herself, TiaWood.com. Using her full name makes it clear that not only is this a business but something personal.

Check out Tia’s website, TiaWood.com. Built into her site is a blog, directory, resources and more. In fact when you sign up for a free account you can add websites directly to the directory. As an added bonus for signing up you will receive free lists of available domain names via newsletter.
