LDA, also known as Live Domain Auctioneers, is a new auction site selling domain names via live online auctions.  Even though they are new to auctioning in the domain industry, they are far from new to the auction business.  The founding partners, Troy Hill and Tory Miran, have over 20 years of experience and education between them as auctioneers.

As mentioned, they sell their names during live online auctions.  If you’re interested in a name, but won’t be available for the auction at its scheduled time, then you can submit a proxy bid.  With the proxy bid you are just giving what the highest price you’re willing to pay is and the system will automatically bid for you up to the maximum you indicated.

They use a “no reserve” strategy in their auctions so there are no reserve prices to contend with.  They believe that letting the name sell to the highest bidder, no matter what the price and without a reserve, is using the auctioneering process in its purest and truest form, which is simply people out bidding each other.
