Domainers.us, which launched in July of 2009, was created to highlight one influential domainer every month. Each month domain investors nominate fellow domainers for this award. Then, the five nominees are voted on by the public to find a single winner.

With a total of 84 votes, I received 38% (32 votes) of them making me the influential domainer of the month for November.

First let me thank Frank Schilling for sending an assortment of four rum cakes from Tortuga Rum Company located in the Cayman Islands. My wife and I are admittedly not rum cake fans, but these rum cakes have opened our eyes. Seriously, these are the best rum cakes in the world. I’ve already gone through half a chocolate one by myself. Frank is a huge fan of Tortuga’s rum cakes, he even posted on SevenMile.com back in 2007 that he spends close to $18,000 annually on these tasty treats.

Frank, thank you and I look forward to meeting you in January.

Secondly, thank you Rick Latona of RickLatona.com for sending me a couple bottles of wine. My wife really enjoys a good glass of wine, she’ll enjoy these! In fact, I think I’ll sign her up for the wine of the month club. That’s a great idea! Jason Cupp, creator of GoDrops.com, has done a great job over the last 18 or so months of not only providing a list of daily dropping domain names, but an exciting place to chat about them as well. I am proud to say that I am now an equal partner in the GoDrops business. I’m a big believer in drop domain names, making this site a perfect fit for me.

For the next two weeks I will be behind the scenes working with Jason to launch the all new version of GoDrops.com. Yes, the site is getting a complete makeover. Until then, business will be as usual.

Besides the redesign our plans are to include a daily host via video chat and premium memberships for $9.95 a month. Premium members will receive our handpicked drop lists 24 hours in advance. Free memberships will not change.

I believe the coming changes will help take the GoDrops.com to the next level and I am thrilled to be a part of it. There will be a press release soon as all the changes are made, so be sure to stay tuned!

For all of my international readers Thanksgiving is a harvest festival celebrated primarily in Canada and the United States. Traditionally, it is a time to give thanks for the harvest and express gratitude in general. FYI, Canada celebrated Thanksgiving on October 12th.

In the spirit of the holiday I have much to be thankful for. I’d like to thank my readers, friends, family, development team and advertisers.

I’m taking the rest of the day off to enjoy family time, turkey dinner and NFL football.
