CNN Covered DOMAINfest New York (Video)

Posted on 23 August 2010

I’m famous, I made it on CNN Money. Ok, so it was just for a split second, lol. Watch the video, you will see myself sitting next to client Kevin Wood whom purchased Companion.com $45,000 and Hoarders.com $1,500 during DOMAINfest’s live auction held in New York on August 18th. In total the auction sold $1,801,900 worth of domain names with the top sale being T-Shirts.com for $1,265,000.

Besides CNN DOMAINfest New York was written about by several major publications including PC World, New York Post and NY Daily News.

Also, don’t forget the extended auction is still going, visit SnapNames.com.

I personally guarantee that if you are not satisfied with your first experience you will receive the purchase price of your conference pass back. Chef Patrick Spoke At GEO Domain Expo (Video)

Posted on 15 May 2010

Only days before the GEO Domain Expo in New Orleans did Patrick Carleton send me an email saying to send a bio within the hour, because I would be speaking Thursday. I don’t know if you guys remember but I am deathly afraid of public speaking. Just this past November was my first ever speaking engagement to a local business group. Thankfully I made it through, I think mainly because it was only a group of around 25 people.

Ok, so I agreed to Patrick’s demand…er…request (lol) and said I would participate on his Social Media panel. Still nothing prepared, I had a conversation the night before with Patrick telling him I was extremely scared but thankful it was going to be questions and answers so I can rely on the other members of the panel. What came next made my heart race. Patrick said no, you will have ten minutes of your own on stage to discuss Social Media. WHOA!!!

Long story short, I was a nervous wreck and prepared nothing. The other panelists had slide show presentations and pages of notes to refer to. I decided to just show a real world example of how Social Media works for me. I pulled up my accounts (Twitter/Facebook/Su.pr) to show how I drive roughly 5,000 visitors to any website I choose every single month.

I think I nailed it…watch the video and judge for yourself. Before you watch, I want to give a special thank you to Steven Kaziyev of DomainersDigest.com for recording and editing the following videos.

I also want to say that Patrick Carleton put together a great event. The GEO niche is very unique, a lot of different faces from the other shows so it was nice to meet new people and gain a little more insight about the GEO space.

Book Your Hotel For GEO Domain Expo Now!

Posted on 03 April 2010

My travel arrangements are now booked for GEO Domain Expo. I have to say that it’s not a moment to soon. Patrick Carleton sent me an email yesterday saying their block of reserved hotel rooms will be gone on Wednesday. That means for everyone that hasn’t reserved a room, you might not be able to get one. I strongly suggest getting your reservations made by Tuesday night. Why the urgency? Jazzfest is going at the same time and nearly all the hotels are already sold out.

Click here for more hotel information.

Need more incentive? Patrick also informed me that he extended the $995 rate until Tuesday night. On Wednesday the rate go up to $1,195.

I am really excited about this event. Although I’m not a heavy GEO investor I strongly believe in them and have plans of investing/brokering more of them in the very near future. Beyond having a good time this is going to be a great learning experience.

Do you have a GEO domain name you are looking to sell?
Send me a message and maybe I can help. What better place to move a GEO domain name than GEO Domain Expo. :)

Posted on 25 March 2010

I will personally be attending both events. I live in Florida so Fort Lauderdale is not that far and for New York, I’ll already be in town for Affiliate Summit. Great idea to schedule the New York networking event the day after Affiliate Summit!

Press Release

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – DomainSponsor®, the domain monetization business unit of Oversee.net® and organizer of the DOMAINfest® series of conferences, said today that it will further expand the highly regarded franchise with one-day events in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and New York City.

Both events will precede DOMAINfest Europe to be held in Prague, October 6-7, 2010.

Event Information
The one-day events will be held on May 13, 2010 at the W Hotel in Fort Lauderdale and on August 18, 2010 at the Grand Hyatt in midtown Manhattan, immediately following the Affiliate Summit East conference.

Each meeting will continue DOMAINfest’s tradition of providing a rich setting for discussions around how to increase the value of Internet real estate with subject-matter experts invited to facilitate free-flowing power networking sessions that will kick off each event from 1:30 pm to 3:30pm EDT. Moniker will conduct a live auction of premium names from 4:00 to 7:00 PM EDT, followed by a private dinner party hosted by DomainSponsor.
