24 Hours Left – Bid Now!

Posted on 23 November 2009

I just wanted to remind everyone briefly about the LuxuryNames.com auction happening right now, as we speak, well as you read. Remember the auction is going to be ending around 3pm Eastern time November, 24th, which is tomorrow!! Fifteen names already have bids on them, some by multiple bidders.

Don’t miss out on the chance to get the grand prize of about $1500 in cash to help with development costs of the domain name and a twelve month subscription to Domain SuperStar’s Premium Tools, which is worth over $700 in itself. A second place winner will also be chosen.  They will receive a twelve month subscription to Domain SuperStar’s Premium Tools. No cash. Read more about the contest here.

Please remember you have to win the name you bid on and pay for it, in order to be considered as an entry into the contest.  Most important of all, I will be announcing the winner on December 1st by video. I know you can’t wait for that!

There were some great names on the list, so even if you don’t win the grand prize or second prize, you’ll walk away with a premium domain.  That sounds like a win-win scenario to me.

Now go bid! I’ve got my bids in on a couple. :)

LuxuryNames Auction Starts Today With Over $3000 In Prizes

Posted on 18 November 2009

LuxuryNames.com has teamed up with DomainSuperstar.com to put together a couple great prizes for two successful winners in the LuxuryNames auction at SnapNames starting today and ending on November 24th.

Prizes:

Grand Prize includes both €1,000 of COLD HARD CASH (approximately $1,487 US) and a FULL YEAR subscription to Domain SuperStar’s Premium Tools, valued at $770, making this prize worth over $2,250 US.

Second Prize is a full year subscription to Domain SuperStar’s Premium Tools valued at $770, no cash included.

(Only persons who have successfully won and paid for an auction will be eligible – full  details will be announced tomorrow but I have the scoop today).

Why is LuxuryNames doing this?

They believe in this industry and believe in buyers who want to develop great names. They also understand some may need a little help in this incredibly tough economic time. Obviously the goal of the auction is to sell domain names, however they also believe many domain owners want to mature faster in the development stage, so what better way then to provide some premium tools and cash to do this.

What can the €1,000 be used for?

The goal of this contest is to help the lucky winner financially to bring his/her new domain to life. The money will be paid directly to you. Of course it’s understood that some may want to use the money to pay off credit cards, enjoy a cheeky night out or double down at the poker table, however the hope is the winner will use these funds for development – something that can be showcased down the road if so desired.

The winners will be determined in a video drawing on December 1st (one week after the auction close) by me, Chef Patrick, with at least one lovely assistant. LuxuryNames has already gone on record saying they take no responsibility for the video on December 1st. You know how I announce winners. ;-)

What are you waiting for? 80% of the domain names in this auction have reserves under $1,500. Bid now!

luxury names auction

Next week LuxuryNames.com will be the featured auction on SnapNames.com from November 18 until the 24th. A catalog of available names that will be in the auction has been released and can be seen at LuxuryNames.com. There are over 200 high quality names to choose from with the majority of them being a .com extension.

80% of the names listed have a reserve that’s less than $1500!

Some of my personal favorites are:

  • autoloancalculator.com
  • creditfraud.org
  • autosurance.com (excellent brand name)
  • thankyoubaskets.com
  • adjustablehomeloans.com
  • drugrehabprograms.net (great for celebrities and rock stars :) )

If this isn’t enough to convince you to take a look at the names then maybe this will; there is going to be a big announcement by Wednesday, November 18 that might just entice you to purchase a name from the LuxuryNames.com catalog. Make sure you come back to find out what the big secret is! In the meantime, glance at the catalog and mark your calendar for the auction!
