Many domainers (myself included) are seeing PPC drop down to nothing. But this post is not to complain about parking revenues. It is to (hopefully) motivate domainers to start developing mini-sites.

For me, mini-sites have been 1000% more profitable than parking, with some names. One of my favorites is SalviaFacts.com. Salvia is a new drug that teens are getting into. As you can see, setting up that site didn’t take much time, or work. But from parking, I made a total of $.02. Over the past week and a half, adsense has earned me a little less than $2. Of course, that is not a lot of money, but it is a major improvement on the 2 cents from parking. Traffic to that site has been steadily increasing, mostly from longtail searches.

The beauty of mini-sites is how fast and easy they are to set up. You can literally set up a mini-site in 10 minutes.

With all the development of MFA, Mini-Sites, and just development of site in general most of us are trying to find ways to pull in that natural traffic. This is very valuable traffic that some people miss out on when they park a domain instead of developing them. I am going to give you some tips on how to get your site in Google SERPs quickly, if done correctly under 24 hours.

#1 Submit to Search Engines
We all know that submitting to search engines can take a long time, but submitting to multiple search engines at once can help get your site crawled by smaller engines. This in return lets Google and the other giants know that your site might be worth looking at. This is not a huge one but may help in the end.

Speak Your Mind (10)

You heard it here first, check your page rank!!!

I would say this comes to us all as a big surprise.  The last page rank update was only about six weeks ago on August 5th.  I discovered this purely by luck.  I happen to have the Goggle tool bar with page rank checker and when I pulled up this site I found an increase.  I then checked a few of my other sites to confirm and some have gained and some of lost.

I am pleased to say that this very site, DNKitchen.com which started out as a PR0 roughly two months ago has now been updated to a PR2.  Thank you to my readers and everyone who has linked back to me.

Let me also be the first to say SORRY to those of you who have lost page rank.  I have one site that went from a PR2 down to a PR0.  That is ok because it is my fault.  If you have a page ranked domain and do not develop or let is sit unchanged this will happen.

Oh and check again in the morning for those that have not changed.  I am sure they can’t get all the PR’s updated that fast.
