Elliot Silver hacked into my WordPress account to see what today’s blog post was going to be. I’m kidding, but I did plan this post on how helpful the domain community is.
As Elliot said earlier in his post Reach Out & Ask a Domain Investor, most domain investors are happy to share information with others. I know this to be true because over the last few days I have spent about 8 hours on the phone with some of them. By now everyone knows my interest has shifted slightly to the Geo domain world with my upcoming release of TampaBay.tv. With this in mind, I have reached out to some of the best known Geo domainers.
I would personally like to thank the following people.
David Castello – Nashville.com, PalmSprings.com and too many others to list.
Elliot Silver – Burbank.com & Lowell.com
Richard Douglas – Oakville.com
Shaun Pilfold – Kelowna.com
I couldn’t even begin to express how much I have learned from these guys. What I’m learning is invaluable. The information shared with me has been a tremendous help with my current Geo development project and I’m sure will contribute to the success of my venture.
Elliot mentioned using the websites contact page or lookup whois information to reach out to those you would like to speak with. Personally, I find Facebook very useful. I am connected with the majority of the domain industry through Facebook. A lot of our industry professionals are either on Facebook or LinkedIn, not Twitter. Although, I have used Twitter to network with a lot of people, Facebook seems to be more intimate and the preferred social media tool of our industry pros.

I have found that the domaining community is so helpful and ready to help a person all you have to do is be nice and listen, people hand out information all of the time.
I would also like to thank you for helping me out so much Patrick
Thanks
