NamePros Auction Tonight 10/16

Here we go again, It has been two weeks since the last NamePros auction.

Place: NamePros.com (if your not a member yet put down Chef Patrick as your reference)
Time: 6pm EST

The headliner of the night in my opinion is CORU.com, a very nice CVCV. It was in auction two weeks ago but did not sell. This domain should easily go for $2000 or higher.  Four months ago this domain would have sold for $5000+.

Here is a list of my favorite domain names you will see tonight:

NamePros Live Auction Tonight 10/2

Every two weeks NamePros.com holds a live two hour auction. The time has come for another auction, check it out tonight at 6pm est. From the looks of it, it is not too late to add a domain to the auction. Go to NamePros.com, at the top right of the forum you will see live auction. Click the prebidding link and you will then be able to add a domain name. Several options, you can set no reserve, reserve or sellers choice. I personally like the sellers choice option, this allows you to back out of the sale for a small fee if you feel it went too cheap.

I have to say I look forward to the auction every time. Without fail I will either buy or sell something at the auction. My username on NamePros is Chef Patrick, hope to see you there.

Interview with Jamie Zoch of DotWeekly.com

I came across Jamie’s work while visiting Domaining.com.  For those of you not familiar with Domaining.com it is a site that showcases the latest headlines via RSS feeds of all the major blogs.  I often go to this site to check what is going on with the industry.  While visiting the site I noticed DotWeekly.com several times a day actually.  I further looked and found a great domainer blog with tons of information and tips.  After familiarizing myself with them I also realized that Jamie was a fellow member of NamePros forum, my favorite forum I must add.  Not only was he a fellow member but come to find out he was voted member of the month (MOTM) for August 2008.  MOTM is a very nice award to get in my opinion.  What’s better than being recognized for your hard work by the peers you chat with every day.  I think with everything he has done for the community it seemed like a good fit for an interview.

Sticky Situation For Domainers

I was recently speaking to fellow domainer Evan, owner of HuntingMoon.com.  We talked about business in general and our current ventures.  Evan mentioned a pretty sticky project so of course I was curious.

NetGum.com, the newest domainer forum launched last week.  The main question I had was why or how did he come up with that name.  The answer was simple but to the point, “communities bring people together”.  I couldn’t agree more with this, I am personally a member of several forums and look to my fellow members as family.  Don’t get me wrong, some of them are looked at as evil step brothers and sisters but the majority are good people.

Evan said NetGum.com is a FREE Domaining, SEO and Affiliate Marketing community with FREE hosted blogs.  He also said they offer a relaxed atmosphere and unique forum structure with attention to short domains.

Check it out for yourselves, visit NetGum.com and post your comments here.
