My cartoonist, who is located in the Philippines, emailed me yesterday advising me that the weekly comic strip will be delayed because of a tropical storm named Ketsana. He said his family is safe, but some relatives have had houses flooded and need help.
Honestly, I do not watch the news and had no idea what was going on. After reading the email I quickly searched and found Yahoo News. The Associated Press reported that the storm has left 83 people dead and 23 missing so far and that this storm was the region’s worst flooding in more than four decades. To put it into perspective the article mentioned how the storm dumped more than a month’s worth of rain in about 12 hours time. All that rain caused massive flooding and horrible landslides.
Rick Latona also posted earlier that a large portion of his operations are run in the Philippines. I believe Rick said it best and I would like to mimic these words, “My sincerest and best wishes to everyone in the greater Manila area. Stay safe. Don’t worry about work assigned to you. Just don’t get hurt and protect your family.”

I joke about this all the time on Twitter but this one must be true. When Twitter is down Facebook is up and vice-versa. You be the judge.

Remember my article Hard Drive Crashed @#*&!!!? This comic strip is exactly how I felt when I got the blue screen of death a little over a week ago.
