this toy needs a business plan. You can not spend 10M without having a plan. I mean a realistic plan.
If Domainers buying cashflow, you know when when you get back your money. If you buy cheap a nice generic, you know you might sell it soon.
But this here is realy big money. We are talking about a business. With this amount of money you can do a lot.

@bernard

Welcome to business, if you think this relates on to domaining you're being naive. All people dream of making it big and most never do. It takes intelligence, planning, cash, timing, and luck to succeed. Most are missing 2 of the five.

Domainer are blind and not in the reality. Even going to the water closets, they think: how could a domain help me now?

As a domainer, I normally would be horrified to see the miserable failure of those who bought sex.com that end today in a forclosure auction.

I would like to know the number of the so-called proud domain moguls always speaking about figures (5, 6, 7 figures):
* their income for the following streams: parking, developped websites, and sales of domains
* the ratio between net income and domain registration costs

I am sure some (if not all):
* have low income in comparison to the supposed value of their domains, and essentialy from parking
* have registered or bought tons of domains with their past revenues, ending today with large portfolio with a near to zero if not negative net income

But I guest their number is secret, and the reason is: not show to the average joe, a domainer wanabee dreaming to become a domainer mogul that the bubble is bursting. The average Joe is the guy at the bottom who puts fresh money in the system, registering new domains, buying supid LLLL.com and low premium multikeyword generic.

I need some SEX!!

Noo way, this is unbelievable!? this domain is worthy of an epic screenplay or movie. When I first started Domaining and read about the story behind sex.com I was captivated, the sleight of hand, double crossing and intrigue was right out of a sleaze tabloid or spy novel. I immediately went to the site (sex.com)to see what all the fuss was about and it was rather disappointing to see how run of the mill and unimaginative the actual site was considering the domains rather colorful history. I mean how do you monetize a $12 million dollar domain? Good luck to the lucky or unlucky bidder that wins it, It will be interesting to see what new chapter will be written with the acquisition of this domain.
