Those are most certainly great Geo names, but almost all are Countries and not Cities. Where are the City Names? I think that City Names are or can be more valuable as they are more specific. People advertise real estate and local services at the City Level not the Country Level.

Anyhow, its a step in the right direction.

I think adding a CityNameKeyword.com category would be effective as well. These are some of the top performing domains in search engines and that will only cause values to increase. I have done this at our marketplace: MediaOptions.com

Thanks Patrick for the head's up.

I don't see anything wrong with a "middle man". Selling a high end domain name is no easy task. Having a reputable company that has done this many times broker the domain name is an advantage in my eyes.

I'm sure they'll add more extensions and spice things up down the road. It's a start and a step in the right direction giving GEO domains a space of their own.

That is good news for sedo, not for domainers! The domainers need of the hour is an Open Domain market, where buyers meet Domain owners. No middle man, no commission.

I have started such a venture under sigmaNames.com

Check it out guys!

Once again, quality of presentation is ignored. Here's what Sedo wrote atop this page of six- and seven-figure domains:

"This is your chance to own GreatBritian.com"

Also, one of the domains is listed simply as "Rhodes" (no extension).

With the commissions they'd make from these sales, you'd think they could afford a little proofreading?!

Guess I'll have to point out their errors to them.

P.S. Looks like they're only listing .com GEOs, so I'll have to sell GreatBritain.ws elsewhere. :)

Great GEO's for sale. Looks like Sedo is auctioning some real prime names. After the sale of Russia.com for 1.5 million dollars it makes me wonder what the value of Россия.com is going to be (3 million?, 10 million?) Especially since Россия.РФ has already been reserved by the Russian Federation. I think it's time for Sedo to get moving on IDN auctions for non-latin scripts if they want to get a piece of the action. If Sedo needs help upgrading their system to support non-latin IDNs, especially cyrillic IDNs for Russian domains, I can probably help.

Good luck with the acquisition. I'm sure you'll get what you want. The brokers at Sedo are very good at creating win-win scenarios for all parties.

Can't tell which one since I've been working for months at knocking the price down :)

Awesome names.

Eager to see if any sell.

You still should. You have a strong following of GEO domainers that I'm sure don't read my blog.

It's a start for them. I'm sure over time it will evolve into it's own marketplace.
