Is anyone looking out for the domainers? After reading the following blog the clear answer is yes. Reece Berg who is already known for his blog LLLL.com has done it again with DomainNameScams.com. Get this, the blog has only been online for 10 days and has 16 must read articles. Seriously, DomainNameScams.com was launched November 24th and has 16 useful articles. I am personally taken back by this because I know first hand how hard it is to continually put out quality articles. Most domainer blogs could only hope to put out that many articles in a one or two months time frame.

One of the articles Reece wrote was about security and how thieves are hacking into peoples PayPal accounts to steal their money. Instead of just stating the obvious he pointed out a simple and effective tip, get a security key ($5). The key creates random security codes to use along with your regular user name and password. I don’t know about you but I ordered mine right after reading the article, thank you Reece.

Go check out DomainNameScams.com, I would even say check it out every day because of the rate Reece is putting out articles.

Elliot Silver has been blogging since June 2007 and has not stopped since.  I really applaud him for this, it is extremely difficult to take a blog and continue writing month after month supplying new information.  I am not the only one to notice, he has been awarded blog of the year 2008 by DomainTools.com, DomainerChoiceAwards.com and if memory serves me correct he won something at TRAFFIC.

Beyond his blogging Elliot is becoming a big player in the Geo domain name scene.  He owns domains like Lowell.com and Burbank.com which are 2 of the top 250 populated US cities.  I know what Elliot paid for Lowell.com, it was no joke.  Elliot is a serious full time domainer, making waves and here to stay.

Q. I read the bio on your blogs, says you are a graduate of NYU, do you think your education has helped in anyway with your domaining business?
A. I attended grad school at NYU and graduated with a Master’s Degree in Direct and Interactive Marketing. One of the hallmarks of direct marketing is that you should test everything – creative, price point, call to action…etc. – all of which can be done by using a variety of domain names in a campaign. In grad school, I also learned about the importance of being able to calculate your return on investment for any marketing effort.  By using a call to action domain name for different campaigns, you can see where visitors learned about your product/service and track your ROI. First let me start by saying Happy Thanksgiving to those that celebrated yesterday. Yes it’s a little late, sorry. Long story short, we went to my mother-in-laws for the holiday and she not only has an old computer, but it’s bogged down with useless software, programs and probably viruses. To top that all off she only has dial up. I hit the AOL button because that is her internet provider and it took at least five minutes just to launch. I am not a very patient man, before I let it frustrate me on a holiday I let it go and went back to watching football.

I want to apologize to my readers signed up for my newsletter.  It was my intention to get a newsletter out this morning with deleting domain names.  I ate too much turkey yesterday to get up that early.  I am working on the list now and will have it out for tomorrows deleting domain names.  If your not signed up on my newsletter that gives you about six hours to get signed up.

Lastly, to update everyone about my post for worst registrar, I am still waiting to get something from Bob Parsons owner of GoDaddy.  They have a staff of employees that sort through everything.  I am in the final stages of approval for an interview.  Should be mid December before you see that, I will keep everyone posted.
