SURPRISE!

DNKitchen.com is no more. As you can see I created a completely new site with a new look and feel to it. Most of you already know me as Chef Patrick so this should be an extremely easy transition. Plus don’t worry, all the old links and feeds will continue to work.

I created this newer blog, honestly, because I wanted to talk about other things in addition to my main passion of domaining. Domaining is and will continue to be a main focus of mine. Without having to build 5 different sites I decided to just have one that I can talk to you guys on about those different things.

Another focus will be making money online. I want to see for myself if it’s possible to make the kinds of crazy money some of these guys out there are making. As I’m going through this adventure I want to be able to share it with you. The creation of this site allows for much broader conversations. Think of it as a one stop shop to talk about our passion, domaining, and then some.

I HOPE you guys enjoy the new site and will continue on this journey of growth with me. I am lucky to have wonderful readers like yourselves and hope you’ll trust me enough to see this change will make things more fun and informative around here.

I will post more tomorrow about my goals and the direction of ChefPatrick.com. To be honest the site change over took a lot longer than expected and I am really tired. I still have to add some links and a few tweaks tomorrow, in the mean time if you see something out of place please let me know by posting a comment.

“Following legal advice obtained as a result of concerns raised by fellow domaining bloggers and some NamePros members about the legality of an all-pay auction in the US where this site is hosted in addition to consideration of the problems I may face at the end of the auction in case more than one person bids with the same amount which is very likely I have decided that the best option is to cancel this auction effective immediately.

All bids have been refunded.

All affiliates that made commissions have now been paid out of my own pocket.”

I am glad this is over already, honestly I did not want to sit here until April and watch. I just have three questions for John.

1. Are you still going to TRAFFIC in April?
2. Will the domain name valued at $10,000 be awarded to the final bidder?
3. What was the domain name?

I do hope that John can rebuild his reputation from this. DNXpert.com is a good blog and so is the Domaining Manifesto ebook which I am assuming is now free. It would be a little difficult to go from free to charging $27 again. A positive spin for John is using the ebook to build his email list.

I emailed John and he said he does not intend on answering any further questions.

Before that he did say that there will be no prize because the auction did not last the 100 days or 2 weeks without a bid. He also said that he has spoken with the last bidder and they are fine with not getting anything.

It is now day 2 of the “so called” Revolution created by John Motson and I wanted to share my two cents. I would have given my full opinion yesterday but I was upset about the launch and didn’t want to say anything without at least taking it in and processing everything. Well, now here is the truth!!!

First let me start off by saying how extremely disappointed I am in this. Let me give you some background, only a couple months ago I sold a few copies of his Domaining Manifesto (ebook) through this site. Why? Because I personally bought his product about six months ago and believed for the price it provided a good value. After selling a few copies of the ebook in November, John began to give the ebook away for free in December. First let me say a few things,  Happy New Year to everyone.  Last night was the first time my five and six year old kids stayed up for the stroke of midnight, it was a blast. Also, I have some new year goals which I will get to you guys next week, it involves everyone so only fair to share. DNKitchen.com is getting a make over, the new theme will be up by Monday if not sooner.

OK, now on to this million dollar site scheme.

John Motson is the author/owner of DNXpert.com and Domaining Manifesto, an ebook that I have promoted here in the past. Now it seems that John wants to become a millionaire with the development of his latest website. I am just going to state my personal opinion, I think he is nuts and genius all at the same time. I do not like these sites yet I want one for myself, lol.
