Seth from FreshDrop.net just informed me of a new FREE software his team has created for sniping GoDaddy domain auctions. The new software is fittingly called uSniper. I did a quick Google search and could not find any comparable products. I did come across a domainer forum that was looking for a tool like this. Hmmm, maybe Seth read the forum and decided to create the solution.

What is auction sniping?
Auction sniping is the process of watching a timed online auction (such as on eBay), and placing a winning bid at the last possible moment (often seconds before the end of the auction), giving the other bidders no time to outbid the sniper. Some bidders do this manually, and others use software designed for the purpose.

How does it work?
Download the software from uSniper.com and install. The current version only works on Windows based computers and for GoDaddy auctions.

Once the program is installed, you simply open the software, log in and set the desired snipe bid time (i.e. 5 seconds remaining or 2 minutes and 5 seconds remaining). Simply add each domain name you want into USniper along with your desired high bid. Bids can be edited or canceled at any point before the auction ends.

The number one reason why I like this software is that you set your bid and walk away. For someone like myself who hates losing will continue bidding and bidding until I win. This software takes the emotion out of the auction process. With this I can set my educated bid and forget about it.

Software/GoDaddy compatibility issues have caused this program to be buggy and not work properly. It has been weeks now and these issues still have not been resloved. I have removed the links to uSniper.com, download at your own risk. My personal opinion, don’t use it. I really dislike when a company launches something and it is not ready!!!

Yesterday I talked about Joel Comm’s new book Twitter Power. I also discussed my uses of Twitter and that I would follow up with more of a detailed explanation today. For your viewing pleasure I put together a video about just that and don’t tell anyone but, I spilled the beans about how much money I generate from this blog.

One thing I forgot to mention was following your brand. Make sure you use the same name as your blog/site and create a background to mimic it as well. You will notice my background on Twitter showcases my logo and newsletter giveaway of a $25 gift card. Bottom line is the more you put something in front of a potential reader or client the more likely they are to trust that brand and visit the site.

Let me start off by saying thank you to Joel Comm for giving me a copy of his new book Twitter Power before today’s release. For those of you not familiar with Joel he is a New York Times bestselling author for the book The AdSense Code and is also known for the very popular iPhone application iFart.

I had a chance to review this book over the weekend and was blown away with the details. Some of the key points are why and how to use Twitter along with building your list of followers and connecting with them. Not only connecting but the subtle ways to influence them for your personal gain. Lastly the chapter titled “A 30-Day Plan for Dominating Twitter” is a simple road map for success on Twitter. Twitter Power is the perfect A to Z guide on the use of Twitter. I must have read dozens of blogs about Twitter before creating my own uses. I only wish this book came out sooner.

What is Twitter?
It is a free micro blogging social media outlet which allows up to 140 characters to be sent to everyone following you. The simplest comparison would be a text message which allows you to send a short message to a friend.  Twitter allows you to send your messages to a larger audience.

In case you are not familiar with the look of Twitter below is an image of my profile page and a few examples of messages I have sent within the last 24 hours.

Why use Twitter?
I use Twitter for the following reasons:

• Connect with my readers
• Make new friends and business connections
• Drive traffic to my site
• Seek advice and guidance
