Bido Is Coming Back Soon

Posted on 20 October 2008

I just got an email from Bido.com saying they are still working on things and should be coming back soon. For those of you who do not know, Bido.com is an online auction house that auctions off one domain name per day.

The following is directly from the email I received today…
Just a quick message from the Bido team! It’s been some time since we last sent an update to the members. We’re still gearing up for our relaunch, we make progress with it each and every day. We recently put a server online that went a little haywire and sent out quite a few emails. If you were affected by the mishap, we sincerely apologize for the numerous emails that made it to your inbox. Please forgive us! On a parallel but unrelated note, Sahar made a post to his blog Conceptualist.com on the first of October, where he mentioned the following; “A quick Bido update, we are still testing the site, added new features, spent way too much on new hardware. We expect to bring Bido back in about 2-4 weeks”.

My only question is when are they coming back? Sahar said Bido was coming back in 2-4 weeks but that was on October first. I just emailed Bido and will let you know when I hear something.

I personally enjoy Bido.com and look forward to their comeback.

UPDATE: Jarred at Bido emailed me back saying they have no firm date but they are making progress every day.

All of these domain names are deleting today and can be purchased through GoDaddy.com. Use my link to purchase your domain names for only $7.29.

Keep reading to see just short of 100 domains names deleting today. Just a teaser, JoeThePlumber.com was offered $800k for the domain.  Well, MoneyJoe.com is deleting today, from what I have been reading the JOE brand is very popular.

NamePros Auction Results 10/16

Posted on 16 October 2008

Not the best NamePros auction as far as higher end domains but still some very good deals.

Below are the domain names I listed earlier today and their sold prices. I only listed the ones that sold, if reserve not met or it did not make it to auction it has been removed.

CORU.com $1800 I am pretty sure the seller will exercise his sellers choice option.
Sijoo.com $21
ExpireFish.com $125
DryRoastedPeanuts.com $61 (Purchased by Chef Patrick)
NameGrade.com $26
NameTopic.com $16
ObtainGrants.com $57
UniqueWebDesigns.com $37
HotelAndCasinoGuide.com $22
UOOO.com VVVV Triple Repeating $335
A3Y.com $183
Qii.info $81
GTNB.com Quad Premium $199
ETGF.com Quad Premium $230
ACSF.com Quad Premium $280
ARSF.com Quad Premium $280

One sale I found a little surprising, 40 LLLL.com’s sold for $300. That is only $7.50 each!!!

Although there is a sold price does not mean the domain sold. The sellers have the right to buyout of the sale for 20% of sales price with a max of $8. Last auction I mentioned not liking this option. I guess other members had the same concern because the next auction will not have this option. It will either be reserve price or sell. This should make the next auction a lot more enjoyable. Being the winning bid before didn’t mean winning, now it will.

NamePros Auction Tonight 10/16

Posted on 16 October 2008

Here we go again, It has been two weeks since the last NamePros auction.

Place: NamePros.com (if your not a member yet put down Chef Patrick as your reference)
Time: 6pm EST

The headliner of the night in my opinion is CORU.com, a very nice CVCV. It was in auction two weeks ago but did not sell. This domain should easily go for $2000 or higher.  Four months ago this domain would have sold for $5000+.

Here is a list of my favorite domain names you will see tonight:
