Recently Michael Berkens posted on TheDomains.com that D.tv and P.tv were registered for less than $22 each. By reading the comments on that blog post it appears this is not the first time.

awesome… love these stories… sometimes I feel like those guys that reg’d them… sometimes not lol
Yes, TheDomains.com is a very reliable source.
It almost makes me embarrassed to be using a .TV domain name. Almost.
The sad thing is without the glitches and miscommunication, this could have been hugely positive for the CC TLD. It still is beneficial, but on the short term, these stories of people registering domain names then having them revoked are not helping.
I have to admit, though, the comic is funny.

.TV is a joke in my opinion. But that wouldn’t mean I’d refuse d.tv for less than 22 bucks. Good job to whoever grabbed them.
