My Own Conference – DNCruise

Posted on 06 March 2010

As many of you have already read on multiple blogs, I have launched my own domain industry conference which will be held on a cruise ship this coming October. This will make for our industry’s first ever conference on a boat!

Thank you to the following people for their coverage of DNCruise:

Also thank you to BruceMarler.com, DomainersDigest.comDNCalendar.com, DomainNameNews.com, SocialDomainers.com and Domaining.com for either linking the cruise or placing a banner on their sites. I truly appreciate everyone’s current and continued support of this endeavor.

I want your input!

This week I am going to have a poll to get some industry input about the cruise. In fact, I will have some random polls over the next several months in regards to the cruise. I want to hear what our domaining community has to say so I can make this a great experience for the attendees. Make sure you keep an eye out for the polls so you can participate.

If you have any questions about the cruise, would like to attend or interested in sponsoring it please feel free to email or call me direct. My phone number is listed on DNCruise.com.

  1. Jake says:

Thanks for the link love, and good luck!

  2. ” Who is this Chef Patrick anyway”……..

A comment I seem to remember someone posted recently.

The answer: someone who is a deal maker.

Some domainers concentrate and place value purely on how good someone’s portfolio is, others think outside the box and create a niche for themselves in what is surely the most saturated area of the domaining industry (outside of domain selling and developing) I can remember – blogging – and making a decent living from it.

I think Patrick you have what it takes to get to the very top of this industry in a relatively short space of time.

I hope the cruise is successful beyond your wildest dreams – and believe me Patrick – you know my situation pretty well – if I could, I would have taken a plane to Miami to take part in the cruise.

    Well done.

Nice idea to have domain conference on a ship.

The best thing is everyone has to behave themselves if not you can get thrown overboard!!!

  4. RKB says:

    Hi Patrick,

I have never attended any domain conference. It never interest me.

This is the first domain conference that excite me as it is a fun either for an individual, couple, or whole family.

I am trying my best to make it. If school schedules fall in place, you will see me there my friend. If I can’t, I will feel that I not only missed a nice domain networking opportunity but also a great family fun.

This is a great idea that you came up with. So original.

One suggestion: Next time schedule it between June 20 and Aug 25th, and you will always see us all there even if it costs a bit more.

    Take care,

    • Chef Patrick says:

Agree, my original plans were to host this in June. There just wasn’t enough time for planning.

Plus this schedule works out because a lot of people will be traveling to Miami for the T.R.A.F.F.I.C. show already. This allows attendees to only have to pay one airfare. :)

      Hope you can make it.
