My First Sale On RickLatona.com’s Newsletter

Posted on 19 November 2009

Early last week I received one of RickLatona.com’s newsletter requesting submissions for religious domain names. I submitted two, ForeverChrist.com and PrayerForum.com. Both were accepted and published in the newsletter. The first name did not sell, but the second one, PrayerForum, sold Friday. The initial asking price was $2,000, the buyer sent in an offer at $1,200 which I accepted. After my initial investment of $200 and Rick’s fee of $200 I cleared $800.

No, this is not a big sale and nothing to brag about, just another day at the office really. I’m writing this more as a testimonial to Rick’s newsletter. It works! I would like to thank Toby and Viju of RickLatona.com for the fast and easy transaction.

If anyone is interested, you can submit your domain names for Rick’s newsletter here.

Also, I reached out to the buyer just minutes ago and he plans to develop the domain name into a Christian prayer forum with zero monetization. I love hearing when a domain name is purchased and put to good use.

Oh and ForeverChrist.com, InterfaithPrayer.com and ReligiousSpace.com are available for purchase if anyone is interested. :)

What a coincidence…I regged PrayersForum.com not just 5 minutes ago.

Feels good doesn’t it …;) I have been selling my .nets for $4-5 dollars through end users and yielding $3-4k a week now.

This is certainly not my first sale. I just wanted to share because it was my first sale with Rick’s newsletter.

That’s awesome you’re making that kind of money every week. I wish I could say the same. I don’t do too bad, just not there yet.

  4. Patrick…

Congrats on the RL Newsletter Sale…
I might try submitting something there
one more time… then I’ll be done with
that resource – if somethings not
    accepted…

I wonder if they still want Relgious Names ??

Let me peek real quick to see what I have that
I’d consider selling… I keep most of my Religious
    ones… building a network of 100 of them… it’s
    a LONG ongoing Project… but it’s inspirational
    and fulfilling to me… (smile)

I did find a few — I’ll send them directly
    to David over at RL’s

Bruce — you mentioned you were selling your
.net’s at $4-5.usd — are you registering them
somewhere super cheap ?? Or are you just clearing
out a bunch of .net’s to get inventory down ??

By the way you all… If we aren’t already
connected on Twitter — Come to Me..

  7. Jessica says:

I am a Christian and I like the fact that you’re helping promote Christian-related domains, chef. Congrats on your sale. Hope someday I get to finally make it to Rick’s Newsletter. So try and try until you succeed is my motto. :)

  8. Morgan says:

Congrats Patrick!! Agreed – it is always nice when a domain you sell goes to a good home. Sometimes I feel like I’m giving-away a pet – easy to get attached :)
