Modern Domainer Magazine’s Domain Expired

Posted on 08 February 2010

Is Modern Domainer Magazine closing shop? I just sent an email to the company to find out. What I can tell you is that ModernDomainer.com, the magazine’s domain name expired on February 4th.

Domainers…I wouldn’t waste your time placing a back order on this domain name. I am 100% sure they will renew. Whether or not they will use it is what we we’ll find out.

I hope this is not the end of Modern Domainer, I truly enjoy the magazine.

When a domain name expires the registrar, in this case DirectNIC, removes the website and parks it.

Thank you to my Twitter friend John @BuySellDomains for pointing out the expired domain name.

UPDATE – Domain has been renewed and the website is back up again.

would not surprise me. i’ve tried for over a year to get a free trial copy as was advertised on their website, and never got so much as a reply.

Sadly, i’ve had equal success with the Domainers Magazine offer:

“Sign up now and receive a free print subscription for the next 6 months!”

my experience with domain magazines have been nothing but lackluster

I’ve found some great articles in both magazines. Plus I personally get tired of looking at a computer screen all day. A magazine is a nice little break.

I haven’t gotten a copy of either magazine in awhile… I believe I had a free subscription to one of them and I did have a free trial going on the other one. So at least I got the trial, unlike Mike. The only question is, if my trial is over, why haven’t they mailed or at least emailed me to see if I want to sign up?

Well… it’s back online now at least. We all make mistakes, but it’s kind of hard to take advice from a magazine about domaining when they let their own domain expire! : )

Did you ever got a comment from them Chef?
