Sedo posted the sale of Metal.com for $165,000 on their website yesterday. Whois history records show the previous owner as Wayne Lazarus of JZJ, LLC which has owned the domain name for at least the last 6+ years. Wayne may have owned the domain name longer, but whois history is only showing records starting in 2003.

This is a very nice name. Gold, silver, platinum….in a world based upon a fiat currency system – metal is gaining more & more traction amongst the mainstream.
Take a look at tulving.com and what they do in business.
I love it when bloggers like you mention who sell what and how much for big $$$ but for all of us(99.99% of the world population-except me), we can only salivate!! aka piss off for not having that kind of domain names.
lol…I know what you mean.
And for your next comment, thanks BS, I appreciate your participation and support.
Hey Chef..I love it even more when there a couple of blogs in domaining.com posting the same story like who bought cher house.
Let take a vote where do you want to post your comment?
As for me, I only post here, thedomains, and….
For the rest of you, you won’t see me posting my comments on your blog because as my BullS says….
Many individuals were in at the right time or are porn-name zillionaires.
Most people do have a perspective on life that doesn’t include a winning lottery ticket by sending in a no-fee sex.com to Registrar.com or by building a sexual empire.
I’m not aware of any of the top domainers who aren’t or weren’t in porn.
That is a broad over generalization. I don’t think the Castello Brothers were in Porn, Rob Grant, Scott Day,Dan Pulcrano, Frank Schilling got in late and is at the top. I don’t think Internet Real Estate Group was ever in porn.
I see the name Metal.com for Music over precious metals. People will use the keyword preciousmetals.com or Gold.com or Silver.com I do not see Metal.com being that good for that.
everything.tv – of course I can’t generalize everybody but many of the top dogs did get their financial grip from porn. I’m not making a moral judgment on how they made their money.
Mark Cuban made his fortune from selling a company to Yahoo. I think he shorted yhoo and made another fortune.
Is music even called “metal” anymore? Besides itunes or Amazon, does any company really make money on selling music – metal or otherwise?
Metal traders, investors – there are major amounts being printed every day. Look at the US treasury debt levels, and investing in metal, China yuan sound pretty attractive.
