Can’t afford to buy that premium .com domain name? .ME might be the perfect alternative for you. As an avid reader of TechCrunch.com, usually there is not a week that goes by where a new project is funded involving a catchy .ME domain name. Startups love value and .ME domain names offer just that.
.ME is about to wrap up a premium .ME auction being held at Sedo.com as we speak. So hurry up and get your bids in, the auction ends November 3rd at 1pm EST.
Right now there are 18 domain names with bids of $999 or more. And of the 178 domain names in auction, 122 of them have a bid of at least $100. The highest .me domains with bids are Detox.me $2,500, VIP.me $2,450, London.me $2,150, RealEstate.me $2,050 and Top.me $1,550.
Sorry, but I’m not going to share my favorites because I am bidding on several of the domain names.
And stay tuned for some news about my own personal developments. I recently acquired two of the biggest internet keywords with .ME domain names and will be developing them into a new business.

Are you involved in the auctions in any way that may interfere with the results?
Where is the best place to sell .me domains?
I have a total of 4 .me 1 word domain names I am interested in selling.
Thanks!
p.s.- I believe it would be extremely difficult to sell .me domains to end users. Don’t you think that mainly the domain name community is aware of the .me extension, etc.
@Margaret – Odd question, but no. I do not work for Sedo or .ME and I don’t own any of the domain names in the auction. I am a domain name investor and will be looking to buy a few of the names.
@D.R. – Feel free to send me the list through my contact form. I’d be happy to take a look and give you any suggestions.
Hello Chef,
I’m just making contact to say hello.
Look forward to reading more of your blog.

I did try buying some .me, and even after some SEO got some ranking, yet, I rather stick with .coms
The .ME’s have caught my attention lately. I checked out those guy’s booth at the BlogWorld expo today. It inspired me to grab one for myself (my name which is Yan Huang dot me, I don’t want to spam). Might have to get a few premium .MEs to add to my portfolio.
The people over at .ME are a class act, great people. Glad you had the chance to spend some time with them. Did you wind up grabbing any names?
Great auction, I bid on several of those names but didn’t win any. Bruce ended up winning Democracy.me, that’s a nice addition to his collection. It was great to see the .me folks at Blog World and I agree with you Patrick they are a class act. That’s one of the reasons why I am willing to fork over money to invest in the .me extension. Hope all is well.
I didn’t win any either
Good point, I’d say I care about .ME as well because I know the people behind it. Easier to believe in something when the right people are in place. Similar to .CO.
Speaking of .CO, I like the new blog using your name.CO
VIP.me got sold for $11,600. What do u think about VSP.me?
If your interested in VSP.me get back to me.
