Baked Halibut Oriental
Another Alaskan recipe that is very popular on the M/V Explorer. This marinade/sauce also works well on Salmon.
INGREDIENTS:
| Halibut Filet, fresh |
2-3 lbs. |
| Fresh Ginger |
2 Tablespoons grated |
| Fresh Garlic |
4 cloves, minced |
| Fresh Lemon Grass |
3 Tablespoons, minced |
| Sesame Oil |
2 Tablespoons |
| Teriyaki Sauce |
1/2 Cup |
| Fresh Ground Pepper |
to taste |
| Wasabi Paste |
1/2 Teaspoon or to taste |
DIRECTIONS:
Rinse Halibut well under running water. Dry. Place Halibut on lightly oiled baking pan.
Combine remaining ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix thoroughly. Spread marinade evenly over the Halibut and refrigerate for a least three hours before baking.
Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes or till Halibut is firm to the touch. Serve.
