Baked Halibut Oriental

Another Alaskan recipe that is very popular on the M/V Explorer. This marinade/sauce also works well on Salmon.

INGREDIENTS:

Halibut Filet, fresh 2-3 lbs.
Fresh Ginger 2 Tablespoons grated
Fresh Garlic 4 cloves, minced
Fresh Lemon Grass 3 Tablespoons, minced
Sesame Oil 2 Tablespoons
Teriyaki Sauce 1/2 Cup
Fresh Ground Pepper to taste
Wasabi Paste 1/2 Teaspoon or to taste

DIRECTIONS:

Rinse Halibut well under running water. Dry. Place Halibut on lightly oiled baking pan.

Combine remaining ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix thoroughly. Spread marinade evenly over the Halibut and refrigerate for a least three hours before baking.

Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes or till Halibut is firm to the touch. Serve.
