INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH BROWNIE MIX

I call this Industrial Strength Brownie Mix because I make this mixture ahead of time (I frequently double the recipe) and store it in air tight plastic bags in the refrigerator till needed. I have kept the Basic Mix for over a month refrigerated with no loss of flavor.

INGREDIENTS:

BASIC MIX

Flour, all purpose 4 Cups
Sugar 6 Cups
Cocoa 2 14 Cups
Baking Powder 2 Teaspoons
Salt 1 Teaspoon
Butter 4 Cups

DIRECTIONS:

Combine dry ingredients. Cut in butter. Store mixture in air tight container or plastic refrigerator bags till needed. Follow directions below for making Brownies.

BROWNIES

Basic Mix 3 Cups
Eggs, large 3 Eggs
Vanilla Extract 1 1/2 Teaspoon
Walnuts, chopped 3/4 Cup

DIRECTIONS:

Remove Basic Mix from refrigerator and bring to room temperature. Combine remaining ingredients with Basic Mix and bake in a lightly greased 9X13X2 glass pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Cool on rack. Cut into bars.
