Domainer Show On TV?

Posted on 27 August 2009

I told my wife last night that my friend Morgan Linton of Domainvestors.tv is going to attempt something that, to my knowledge, has never been done before, which is to get a domain related TV show on air. My wife looked at me and said, “Who would watch that?”. I admit, I raised my hand and said me. Depending on the format and what’s involved I’d definetly be interested in watching a domain investing related show and I’m sure there are others out there as well.

When I say TV show I mean a REAL TV SHOW, not online streaming video. I’m not sure if I’m allowed to say this but Morgan is spending thousands of dollars to do this the right way. He is having a theme song created by a local band, hiring a professional video crew and flying his first guest to California to be on the show. I know Morgan, and when he sets his goals on something he does everything he can to accomplish it.

Yesterday Morgan announced that he is looking for his first guest. In fact he is letting YOU pick that guest. I need your help, I want to be the first guest! Please visit this link and leave a comment suggesting Chef Patrick to be the first guest. Thank you in advance for your help.

VOTE FOR CHEF PATRICK :)

  1. Just voted for ya! Good luck.

  2. Borat says:

What does Chef Patrick bring to show to teach? I want to see sexy lady.

  3. Borat says:

What about the ChefPatrick.com tv show?

    • Chef Patrick says:

I’ll see if Morgan lets me bring a sexy guest with me :)

And no worries, my weekly show isn’t going anywhere.

  4. I like Morgan and I like what he is doing. The idea is a great one, but it should be done for the internet strictly. Now if it catches on and gets a good viewership then you seek out good press by being a guest on TV talk shows, mainstream newspapers etc. Gary Vaynerchuk has been offered his own TV shows and won’t do it because he loves the freedom the internet brings and realises the internet IS the future of tv. Morgan should put all his energy into making it a success on the internet and not worry about TV. If they are interested they’ll approach him. Either way I admire anyone willing to dream and to put those dreams on the line.

  5. I think if that’s what he wants to do go for it. domains are not something i would care to see on tv. videoblogs are enough to watch, podcast etc I agree with Chris Robbins do it online same concept same production just a different platform. I just had a great idea come to mind. Good luck Morgan!

  6. Chef Patrick says:

    Chris and Brian,

I believe Morgan is going to start with the shows on his site while trying to get them real air time. I think anything that can help domain investing go main stream will be helpful to the industry. Before the flip this house style shows came out people despised real estate investors for doing what they did. Very similar to how some feel about domain investors as cybersquatters.
