Domain Masters Radio Has A New Host & Guest Tonight Is Lori Anne Wardi With .CO

Posted on 21 July 2010

Some of you may have already heard this, but Victor Pitts is no longer the host of Domain Masters Radio. Victor Pitts has done a phenomenal job the last few years hosting over 100 episodes. More on this tonight.

The new host is….(drum roll)…Chef Patrick :-)

That’s right, I am the new host of the show. That’s of course if Monte Cahn, the creator of Domain Masters doesn’t step in on occasion to host.

Here are some of my plans for the show:

  • New show introduction.
  • Guest hosts – Morgan Linton, Andrew Allemann, Adam Strong and more.
  • More LIVE episodes when possible. This will allow for more listener participation with chat and possibly call-ins.
  • Video – We are going to test video on tonight’s episode.

Tonight I will have Morgan Linton of MorganLinton.com as my co-host. I really believe 2 hosts liven up the show. Morgan and I will discuss the history of Domain Masters during the first half of the show and then bring on guest Lori Anne Wardi from .CO for the second half. We all know that .CO shook the domain industry this week with over 200,000 registrations so it will be interesting to hear some stats direct.

The show is over, but you can listen to the recorded session here.

Congrats on the new gig. It looks as if you have assembled a stellar cast for your first broadcast. I will have to tune in.

Enjoyed the episode with you and Victor. Wishing Victor the best at DomainIt.com

Chef, PLEASE!, can you make the ads kinder, gentler?

Thanks John, glad you enjoyed the show.

Which ads are you referring to, the one on the radio show?

Maybe I’m missing something- is it also a radio show that plays live? Because maybe the ads are more appropriate for that market but…
Yeah Chef, the ads on the podcast made it basically unlistenable, imo. Too many, too loud – like something you’d hear for a monster truck race. I listen to a LOT of podcasts and don’t hear anything like that anywhere else. Mostly what you get, on a network like Leo Laport’s Twit.tv for example, is sponsorships, with a quick mention up front and at the end, and with a longer mention, usually including a freebie or introductory offer code in the middle of the show, by the host.
No offense meant to Victor or the show’s producers, but with you coming aboard, I think it’s a good time for a makeover.

Thank you John, I’m excited to bring some fresh blood to the show. Victor has done an amazing job over the years.

As for the ads, they are controlled by WebMasterRadio.fm. They give us free air time, producer, bandwidth and so forth in exchange for the ads. I appreciate the feed back. I will talk with them to see if there is an opportunity to do more domain relevant ads during the show.

Well in that case I might even suggest you bring the show in-house. Not all that much to running an (audio) podcast, and with your networking chops I doubt you’d have much trouble finding your own sponsors!

Morgan and I are discussing a streaming video show, similar to what he is currently doing on MorganLinton.tv.

The huge benefit of Domain Masters is the 2,000+ downloads they get every week, that is priceless.
