Comic Strip Starring The Castello Brothers

Posted on 26 July 2009

This is my first comic strip with real world domainers. The Castello brothers are pioneers when it comes to Geo domain investing. Some of their real world brands include PalmSprings.com, Nashville.com, WestPalmBeach.com and many many more. You can read more about the Castello brothers, Michael and David at CCIN.com.

Here is a link to last week’s comic strip in case you missed it. It was “A New Way To Catch Dropped Domain Names”.

Thank you Chef Patrick. We’ve been getting therapy for it since 1995 to no avail.

Might as well mention Associated Cities while you’re at it ;)

@Jamie – If you mention Associatedcities.com, you have to mention Patrick Carleton too. The C-Bros get all the credit, when all they do is look handsome and buy nice rounds of drinks for everyone at the right conferences. Now, who cares about getting free drinks in this biz? I mean, think about it… I’m thinking…. thinking…

Okay, rounds of drinks work in this biz… plus damn good domains and serious intelligence ;-)

All the guys at AC are great, their newsletter is a must (left hand sidebar of their homepage at Associatedcities.com) Don’t miss out. (hope my strangled html ability will make this link come out right.

@Patrick — Domainfunnies.com! As soon as I get my “i’m getting too rich to do work for you on time anymore” webmaster gets that wordpress page up like I asked him weeks ago, I’d like to feature your cartoons there. I’m going to be throwing a few good ones up on the wall too… (anyone who is a web designer proficient in wordpress and anything else, contact me…)

Steve,
While I have focused more on buying domains. It’s been fairly easy to load a wordpress site up through gdaddy. Free templates and plugins from wordpress.org make it even easier to tweak a site. I can load one up “gratis” until “Bob” gets over his birthday.
Best Regards,
Steve.

Thanks Patrick, I’ll let you know when the site is up.

@Steve, (my name is always spelled “STEPHEN” although you can call me “Steve” verbally, so if you address me as “Steve”, I don’t recognize that in messages or text.)

Do you have the ability to put up a wordpress site for me? contact me if you do and let me know your hourly.

thx

@Stephen,
I would have been happy to load one up as mentioned “gratis” but was a bit taken aback with your comment to my post over at Andrews site. I was just trying to help some people out with the .cc tip.

domainnamewire.com/2009/07/26/live-cc-domain-nae-posts-10000-bid-at-sedo/

“@steve — “TDNAM.com”? What is that? Are they trustworthy? I have a weird feeling buying expired or auctioned names from a company that doesn’t have a nice brand or generic descriptive domain.

TDNAM — sounds like an acronym for touchdowns scored by Vietnamese football teams…”

sign up for an account at godaddy and they will load a wordpress site up for you. It’s very easy.

Best Regards.
Steve

@Steve – Sorry for the misunderstanding, I was being facetious, and actually mentioned it in a later post on DNW addressed to “Ricky”, who was asking me if I was “serious”. I was being sarcastic, but not intended to at your expense. I apologize if you took it that way. Lots of people know I’m not a big GD fan, although I am forced to use their services once in a while.

Email me and we can talk, are you on linkedin or FB?

Patrick, no worries!

no sweat just trying to be helpful with the .cc tip. let me know what domain you want to have loaded up and I can setup a basic wordpress template and you can play around with the different settings and add content. find a free theme at wordpress.org under extend and I can load that up as well.
Best Regards.
Steve
