Remember my article Hard Drive Crashed @#*&!!!? This comic strip is exactly how I felt when I got the blue screen of death a little over a week ago.

Here is a link to last week’s comic strip in case you missed it. It was “Quality Domain Names Over Quantity”.

Unlimited Backup $4.95/mo.

    LOL!

  2. Nangbaby says:

I’ve been following your blog for a while now, but I have to say the best feature of this journal is the Sunday comic. I, too, can blow up at the computer when crashes and freezes occur.

  3. Had the same thing happen 3 months ago on my laptop – Lost everything!

    Always Back UP!

  4. BullS says:

All you have to do is…backup to online server…automatic.

and since you have hostgator, why didn’t you backup to your own webhosting, unlimited space.
    oh well…serve you right!!!

go ahead and cry over her B*&&^oops.

  5. BullS says:

then you should change your hosting.
BTW, I don’t believe those hosts promising unlimited bandwidth and space..it is a scam!!!

I have bad bad experience with DH aka dead host

  6. Tia Wood says:

    :D I know that feeling.

  7. Reece Berg says:

Last time it happened to me was about 4 years ago — the scary thing is that you just never know when it’s going to happen. Could be tomorrow, could be next week, month,… I learnt my lesson well the first time and back my stuff up now. I went with a web host which backs up the files each night to one of their servers and I back my stuff up to my computer — that way if either crashes I’ll be okay as long as they don’t both crash at the same time, eek!

  8. BullS says:

    You need to 2 backups..

    one offline and one online.

  9. Weren’t you supposed to turn green… and be wearing a pink shirt Chef? LOL

Even if allowed, backing up to a hosting server is only good if it’s properly backed up, but you’ll also (more than likely) be lacking any sort of encryption and are more likely to have someone hack the server and steal your data. No, a good backup service like Mozy at less than $5 a month is a no-brainer.

  10. BullS says:

    Nothing is guarantee!!

Anything and everything can be hacked.

  11. Mike says:

Just had the BSOD this weekend and had reinstall windows. So much fun.
